You Are Enough
New collection.
With this project, I also made a series of t-shirts. Eventually, I would like to make more, but for the sake of time and the project. I decided to make four. with something simple on the front and a quote from one of my poems on the back. The other two are some sayings with the black power fist on the front and the names of the people that I wrote poems for on the back. Now a good BLM shirt is something that we all know a little too well but, on the other hand, the You Are Enough shirt is something that I hold dear to me. It’s a constant reminder that I never knew I needed.
In a world that only speaks for certain people, there must be someone that speaks for the ones that aren’t spoken for. Watching the struggle of your people you can’t help but feel the pain for them. I know that we have a long way to go but, I do know in due time this one good thing will make a difference.
With that being said I wanted to make something that shows how the killings of my people affect me. Or how it may even affect someone else. These things happen every day and I never know when my day will be.
